Grooming
Grooming plays an essential role in your pet’s health. Beyond looking and smelling good, a shiny coat is a sign that your animal is healthy. To make sure your pet has a pleasant experience, we take all the time we need to make them look their very best.
As a veterinary clinic, we realize that some animals have skin problems that require the use of a special shampoo. We have a range of medicated and natural shampoos to meet the specific needs of some of our patients. Medicated shampoos can only be used following a diagnosis by a veterinarian.
A few tips:
- It’s important to get your pet accustomed to grooming from a young age. This will help make sure they have a positive experience during their appointments.
- It’s important to brush your pet between grooming appointments to prevent large knots from forming in their fur, which would need to be cut out.
- If your pet’s fur is too matted, we will recommend some degree of shaving. Sometimes, a complete shave is needed because excessive brushing and detangling can damage your pet’s fur and cause injury.
