Emergency Care

We believe in helping your animal when it matters most.

Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, and your pet may need emergency treatment. At Hôpital vétérinaire LaSalle, we offer emergency care for all animals, whether or not they are regular clients. Our emergency services are available during our regular business hours.

How can I tell if my pet needs emergency care?

If you’re unsure whether your pet needs urgent care, you can call us to speak to a staff member, who will give you their opinion and advice after you’ve explained the situation and your animal’s condition.

Some situations definitely require emergency care. For example:

  • If your pet is hit by a car, has a serious fall, breaks a limb, or is seriously attacked by another animal.

  • If your pet ingests a substantial amount of a toxic substance, such as alcohol, cannabis, chocolate, chemicals, etc.
  • If your female pet is having difficulty giving birth.

  • If your pet has symptoms such as difficulty breathing, severe allergic reaction, heavy bleeding, loss of consciousness, disorientation, paralysis or inability to stand, inability to urinate, seizures, rigid or bloated abdomen, etc.
